Halloween

We brought the fun to the UK this year!  They don't celebrate Halloween in the fun way that we, as Americans, are accustomed.  The Brits are about 25 years behind America on Halloween.  They only see it as a scary, devilish holiday.  Therefore, all the costumes you see are scary and evil.  When we took the kids trick-or-treating, several houses had bowls of un-wrapped candy.  Only about 10 % of the houses were participating.
Never-mind the cultural lack of commercialized Halloween fun!  We had our own party and had a great time celebrating with our good American friends here in Oxford.
EC was a pink fairy and A was batman.  We had our friends Livia and Nick and their daughter S (the duck,) as well as Nick's mom and friend from the US.  Our friends Collin and Steph came with their daughters dressed as a princess and Nemo.  Our friend Laura and her son, dressed as a skeleton were there as well.

  2. I'm not eating sugar currently. Jones liked the crunchies very much. That was part of our Halloween candy.
