| Brother and Sister, love and annoyance all tied together! |
EC got sent home from school yesterday for "lethargy" and feeling "hot." She had a fever of 98.9. So, as a good mom, I kept her home again today, even though she was feeling fine. I thought we might lay low today and let her rest, but A had other plans.
You know it's going to be a rough day when you have cabin fever before 9am. A had already torn up the house and aggravated his sister to the point of madness, and we were looking at 8:45 on the clock. So, I hastily changed my plans to stay home, and called some friends!
We ended up going to Woodstock Road Deli for some yummy organic, free range, gourmet, yet inexpensive breakfast. Then, we headed to the library. After that, we explored the farmer's market. I love buying 6 avocados for a pound. That's crazy cheap! I also got lemons, strawberries, grapes, olives, and corn on the cob.

| EC and her friend in Port Meadow |
In the afternoon, we headed out again with our friends to take the kids to Port Meadow. The cows and horses were out in force, and the kids had a great time running around. After the meadow, we took the kids to the playground. A is turning into quite the champ at the playground. He's pretty self-sufficient, climbing things most kids his age can't climb and doing the slide by himself. He's a pro, just like his big sister was at his age! The bad news is, he is mischievous and an escape artist. He knows how to open the gate to the playground and run towards the street. Very scary for mom! I can already tell that A is going to give me quite a few gray hairs.
